    Romziah Azit is a geotechnical engineer at CREaTE, Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Malaysia. Her work spans underground excavation, tunnelling, and rock engineering, with notable contributions to major national infrastructure including the Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer Tunnel.   • Prof. Hisham bin Mohamad Professor & Chair, Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP)

    Prof. Hisham is the Chair of Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. He is the leading expert in Distributed Fibre Optic Sensing (DFOS) for infrastructure and structural health monitoring. Upon conferring doctoral degree from University of Cambridge, Dr Hisham has pioneered the application of DFOS in Malaysia, and impacted the civil and construction industry in a new way; replaces conventional instruments, improved accuracy, optimised engineering design.

  • Ir. Dr. Ong Yin Hoe Director, Dr. Toh Associates Sdn. Bhd.
    Adjunct Lecturer, Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP)

    Ir. Dr. Ong is a Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC No. C113533) and has over 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, covering slope, foundation, tunnelling, and deep excavation projects.He has been an invited speaker at multiple MIDAS conferences and professional seminars across Malaysia and Singapore, and currently serves as Director of Dr. Toh Associates Sdn. Bhd. His professional interests include forensic geotechnics, bored pile design, and finite element analysis of soil–structure systems.

  • Ir. Wong Chen Jack Managing Director, CJ Consulting Engineers Sdn. Bhd., Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

    Ir. Wong Chen Jack holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and is a Professional Engineer with a Practicing Certificate (PEPC) with the BEM. He founded CJ Consulting Engineers Sdn. Bhd. in 2015, a Sabah-based firm specialising in geotechnical engineering, covering soft ground, slope strengthening, deep foundation, and excavation works. Ir. Wong currently serves as the Honorary Treasurer of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), Sabah Branch, and also serve as a committee member of the Malaysian Geotechnical Society (MGS).
