Dr. Ganesh W. Rathod (PrEng)
Senior Lecturer | Wits University
Ganesh W. Rathod is a Civil Engineering researcher specializing in Geotechnical Engineering and Earth Sciences. He earned his PhD from IIT Delhi and has held positions at NIT Warangal, the Council for Geoscience in South Africa, and since 2021, serves as Senior Lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. His work focuses on uncertainty modelling, ground response, and earthquake source studies, with contributions to major projects such as the Chenab and Anjikhad bridges, Subansiri Hydropower slopes, GIFT City seismic studies, and South Africa’s seismotectonic. Through collaboration with the mining industry, he advances innovations in mine tailings, safety, and sustainable practices.
