CIVIL NX Webinar
Engineering Essentials for Curved PSC Composite Girder
ROB Design in India
    🕛 12:00 PM – 01:00 PM (IST)
📍 Live On GoToWebinar
📑Overview

With rapid expansion of ROB and highway infrastructure projects across India, bridge design consultants are increasingly facing challenges in handling complex PSC Composite Girder bridge projects involving curved alignments, constrained geometry, staged construction requirements, railway crossing constraints, and frequent alignment revisions during execution stages.

Many design consultants managing high-volume ROB projects continue to rely on conventional fragmented workflows involving general analysis tools, manual spreadsheets, repetitive load calculations and engineering approximations. This workflow causes major challenges such as:
• Difficulty in modelling curved PSC composite girder superstructure.
• Tedious simulation of time-dependent material effects.
• Seperate modelling to simulate bridge construction sequences for site-specific safety checks.
• Manual preparation and verification of IRC moving loads and load combinations.
• Rework caused by alignment modifications during approval or execution stages.
• Challenges in integrating superstructure and substructure analysis and design in one model.
• Increased design verification efforts for ULS and SLS based IRC 112 design checks of PSC and RC structures.
• Seperate workflow for detailed capacity checks for irregular substructure sections as per IRC 112.

To address these engineering and workflow challenges, MIDAS is organizing an exclusive online technical webinar focused on practical modelling and design necessities for a real-project based multi-span curved PSC Composite Girder ROB with substructure using MIDAS CIVIL NX.

Bridge engineers and design consultants will gain practical understanding of how modern integrated workflows can help bridge teams reduce manual effort, minimize modelling errors, improve confidence in design verification, and accelerate delivery of ROB and highway bridge projects in India.

📌Agenda
  • 05th June 2026 (Fri)

🔹 Introduction to modern challenges in curved PSC composite girder bridge design in ROB projects.
🔹 Time-dependent material effects (creep & shrinkage) and creating PSC composite and RC sections.
🔹 Wizard modelling of curved PSC composite girder bridge with substructure including prestressed tendon layouts and construction stages.
🔹 Applying moving loads due to IRC vehicles along curved alignment and temperature loads.
🔹 Post-analysis results interpreation: Moving load as per Influence line, Prestressed losses and stage-wise forces and stresses.
🔹 PSC and RC design checks and report generation as per IRC 112 for ULS and SLS.
🔹 Detailed section capacity checks including P-M interaction, crack width and stresses for Pier section.
🔹 Introduction to MIDAS API and useful Plugins to automate tedious tasks.
