This MIDAS Academy session in Tirana follows the complete workflow of a reinforced concrete building in MIDAS GEN NX – from the first model to the design checks – using a 5-storey RC frame as the example.
You will see how the structure is modelled element by element, how loads are defined for a building model, how analysis results such as displacements are reviewed in the post-processor, and how the members are designed and checked to Eurocode. The session is led by Hamlet Selimaj, Senior Structural Engineer at Colasanti Ltd., who applies MIDAS Civil and MIDAS Gen in real design projects.
Key highlights include:
Join us in Tirana to go from a blank model to a Eurocode design check!
Hamlet is a Senior Structural Engineer with more than 7 years of professional experience in the design and analysis of civil and structural works, with particular expertise in railway infrastructure projects. His experience includes the structural design of bridges, underpasses, overpasses, retaining structures, stations, and other civil works associated with complex railway developments. He has extensive experience in structural modelling and analysis using MIDAS Civil and MIDAS Gen, applying advanced numerical methods to support safe, efficient, and technically robust design solutions. His work combines strong analytical skills with practical design experience and close coordination within multidisciplinary project teams.
