    Overview

    Join MIDAS Academy this summer for two specialized training sessions in Romania, designed for structural engineers and infrastructure professionals seeking hands-on, real-world applications of advanced analysis and design tools.

     

    The Academy will cover two key areas of modern engineering practice:

     

    In Bucharest (June 9th), the focus will be on the structural design of an industrial building featuring reinforced concrete columns and a steel roof structure. Using a real project case, participants will explore how to model and analyse mixed-material structures, apply appropriate loading conditions, and develop reliable design solutions using MIDAS GEN NX.

     

    In Cluj-Napoca (June 15th), the training shifts to bridge engineering, featuring the complete design and analysis workflow of a real road-connecting bridge project. Attendees will gain practical experience in truss bridge analysis, moving load analysis, temperature and wind load considerations, and applying Eurocode-compliant design principles within MIDAS Civil NX.

      Antonio-Andrei Cristian is a Structural Engineer, PhD candidate, with over 10 years of national and international experience ranging from conceptual design to detailed analysis, seismic assessment and forensic evaluation of complex projects in the nuclear, energy, telecommunication, pharmaceutical and logistics sectors (including Cernavodă NPP Units 3&4, seismic assessments in the Netherlands, and projects in the U.S., France and Portugal).

      Răzvan Stere Civil Structural Engineer | Anotech Romania

      Razvan is a Civil Structural Engineer at Anotech Architecture, Engineering, and Construction, his expertise in steel structures and proficiency with MIDAS Gen underpin innovative projects.
       He studied Structural Engineering at UTCB as part of my Master’s degree focused on steel and composite structures, structural analysis, and design.
