Join MIDAS Academy in Cluj-Napoca for an afternoon of parallel hands-on trainings. Choose between MIDAS Civil NX and MIDAS GEN NX — both running side by side, at the same time and location, so pick the track that fits your work.
Civil NX track — Beam Bridges (Simple & Continuous): a practical, hands-on session on modelling simple and continuous beam bridges in MIDAS Civil NX, from geometry to results.
GEN NX track — Seismic Assessment: the focus will be on seismic assessment and retrofit strategies for existing reinforced concrete structures. Using a real hospital building case, participants will explore how to evaluate structural performance under seismic loads, apply nonlinear analysis techniques, and develop retrofit solutions that ensure both life safety and post-earthquake operational continuity — critical for healthcare infrastructure.
Don’t miss your chance to join — spaces are limited!
Pick between beam bridge modelling (Civil NX) or seismic assessment (GEN NX) — both fully hands-on.
Work through a practical, real-world example from geometry to results, whichever track you choose.
Leave with hands-on modelling experience directly applicable to your own projects.
Every participant works on their own laptop and builds the model from scratch, one guided step at a time.
Work with realistic modelling, loading, and analysis settings — not simplified demo data, whichever track you choose.
Learn to read the output critically and check it against what a good engineer would expect to see.
Antonio-Andrei Cristian is a structural engineer and PhD candidate with over 10 years of international experience in seismic assessment and forensic evaluation of complex projects across the nuclear and energy sectors, spanning conceptual design to detailed analysis in Romania and abroad.
David Hognogi is a junior structural engineer focused on the analysis and design of bridge structures, including structural modelling and reinforcement detailing using modern design tools. He is committed to a rigorous, detail-oriented approach and to applying sound engineering principles to real infrastructure projects.

First time using MIDAS? Create your account before the session.
Download the chosen software to your laptop – get it here.
To activate your license, all the information you need will be sent to your registered email address for MIDAS Member – please check your inbox (and spam folder) before the session.
An external mouse is highly recommended for modeling comfort.
Register below to secure your place — choose Civil NX or GEN NX — at the MIDAS Academy workshop on September 8th, 2026.
