From low-rise to high-rise: Finite element analysis of heritage sewer impact using GTS NX Case Study
    1:00pm Sydney, 10:00am Malaysia/Singapore
Online
Overview of the Topic

In modern urban development, the shift from low-rise to high-rise structures is increasingly common. This often involves demolishing three-story buildings to make room for new multi-purpose developments, including commercial and hotel spaces. In this case, the goal is to replace a three-story structure with a sixty-story building, increasing the load by approximately twenty times. Ensuring not only the above-ground structural integrity but also the stability of subsurface conditions is critical.

A heritage Oviform sewer lies underground, and its stability was rigorously assessed using MIDAS GTS NX.
