TRAINING CONTENTS

In this training, we will learn how to perform 3D analysis using GTS NX. 2D analysis is difficult to deal with complex situations, while 3D analysis is more effective, particularly regarding the corner effect and construction costs.

We will cover impact assessment on surrounding structures during urban excavation, ensuring they meet minimum deflection requirements. The model assumes nearby tunnels and buildings, and we will analyze the excavation support system and the deflections of the surrounding structures. Step-by-step model files will be provided, allowing easy participation even if you fall behind.

YOUNGHO CHOI | MIDAS GEOTECH YoungHo Choi has graduated BEng (Civil and Enviromental Engineering), an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering. He has experience of more than five years in consultancy to analyze and design as a geotechnical engineer in Singapore.He has worked in MIDAS IT since as a consultancy and product planner with geotechnical program such as GTS NX and Soilworks. Currently, he is working in the international business team as a trainer and technical supporter for MIDAS users in the UK, Europe, Oceania and South East Asia.
