MIDAS TRAINING SEMINAR IN SINGAPORE
CIVIL NX & GTS NX Hands-on Training
    CIVIL 09:00 - 14:30, GEOTECH 15:00 - 18:00 (SGT)
ISCA, 60 Cecil street, Singapore, 049709

Join us for a specialized hands-on training session on March 25, 2025, in Singapore, where we will cover advanced bridge construction analysis and Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) using MIDAS CIVIL NX and GTS NX.

This training is designed for bridge and geotechnical engineers looking to enhance their skills in construction stage analysis, camber control, and nonlinear soil-structure interaction modeling.

Training Overview

1st Training Session : Balanced Cantilever Box Girder Bridge Construction with MIDAS CIVIL NX

In the morning session, we will explore the balanced cantilever bridge construction method, covering key design and analysis aspects. Participants will gain hands-on experience in:

Construction stage analysis – Understanding staged construction in bridge behavior
Camber control – Predicting and adjusting deflections during staged construction
PSC box girder design – Fundamentals of Prestressed Concrete (PSC) box girders
MIDAS CIVIL NX FCM Wizard – Automating construction stage analysis and optimization
API Applications – Integrating plug-ins for custom bridge modeling

This session provides a practical, step-by-step approach to bridge construction analysis, ensuring that attendees can apply these concepts to real-world engineering projects.

2nd Training Session: Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) with MIDAS CIVIL NX & GTS NX

In the afternoon session, we will focus on Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) by integrating MIDAS CIVIL NX and GTS NX to model realistic foundation behavior. Participants will learn how to:

Import bridge and pile foundation models from MIDAS CIVIL NX to GTS NX
Define soil parameters and perform nonlinear geotechnical analysis
Evaluate foundation displacement and force responses under realistic soil conditions
Re-import soil non-linearity effects into MIDAS CIVIL NX for refined structural analysis

By the end of this training, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the interaction between superstructures and foundations, equipping them with practical knowledge to tackle complex geotechnical-structural engineering challenges.
