We all are aware of the fact that structure analysis and Foundation Analysis are important aspects of the structural integrity and stability of any type of bridge or general structure. The design of bridge substructure is an important part of the overall design of a bridge and affects to a considerable extent the aesthetics, safety, and the economy of the bridge.
Strut-and-tie analysis is suitable for regions of concrete structures that are in the vicinity of the application of concentrated loads or are subjected to geometry changes. Locations where sectional analysis of beam theory is not applicable at these locations Strut-and-tie analysis is useful.
This Hands-on workshop helps the practising engineer to understand the practical application of the Strut and Tie method to the design of the Pile Foundation. Also, we will introduce the Midas SOILWORK for the calculation of Stability and generation of P-Y Curves based on soil data.
