- Introduces ground improvement methodologies including Prefabricated Vertical Drains and Stone Columns in MIDAS GTS NX.
- Explains geometric modelling features and material models such as Modified Cam Clay and Soft Soil for clay behavior.
- Demonstrates Consolidation Analysis through an embankment consolidation example with PVDs.
- Provides a step-by-step hands-on workflow from modelling to analysis for practical application.

Description
This session includes an overview of some ground improvement methodologies, explanation about geometric modelling features available in MIDAS GTS NX, and specific material models to simulate clay and consolidation behaviour such as Modified Cam Clay, Soft Soil, etc. Different features available in the program to simulate certain ground improvement methods such as with Prefabricated Vertical Drains, Stone Columns, etc would be discussed. Consolidation Analysis will be explained in detail with a sample problem of embankment consolidation and ground improvement with PVDs. Participants can also repeat also the modelling and analysis steps simultaneously to get a Hands-On Learning experience for MIDAS GTS NX as the training will cover all the steps from scratch.
