    Description

    In this session, we will demonstrate the practical application of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) with a specific focus on pile raft foundations. The structural integrity of complex foundat ions depends on the effective exchange of load and stiffness data between the soil continuum and the structural elements. Traditional manual data transfer often creates bottlenecks in the design workflow, especially when multiple iterations are required for convergence.

    This session introduces the NX Interact function, an API-based feature that automates iterative SSI analysis between GTS NX and CIVIL/GEN NX. The presentation includes a detailed study on pile raft foundation behavior, from laterally loaded pile modelling to stress analysis of a large-scale piled raft system. Participants will also gain practical tips and tricks for soil continuum modelling, along with insights into building a more efficient and accurate SSI workflow.
