Preventing Sinkholes in Urban Excavation:
Groundwater Recharge and FEM Analysis with GTS NX
    | 14:00 – 15:00 (GMT+7, Thailand Time) / 15:00 - 16:00 (GMT+8, Singapore Time)
Linking Excavation, Groundwater, and Sinkhole Risk
About the Seminar

This webinar explores the mechanism of sinkhole occurrence during deep excavation projects, focusing on how groundwater drawdown can lead to ground settlement and potential collapse. Using MIDAS GTS NX, we will demonstrate how numerical simulations can capture excavation-induced dewatering effects, visualize settlement patterns, and evaluate the effectiveness of Recharge Wells in mitigating risks. Participants will gain both theoretical understanding and practical insights into applying FEM analysis for sinkhole prevention.
