    Seminar Overview

    Bridge design and tunnelling insight,
    from two different perspectives

Hosted in Dublin, this in-person seminar brings together the MIDAS IT Europe technical team with Martin Bosak, Associate | Egis Ireland & UK, for an evening of applied, project-driven presentations on bridge and geotechnical engineering practice.

Whether you work on bridge design, foundation modelling, or soil-structure interaction for tunnelling, the sessions are built around real engineering workflows, followed by networking with peers and the MIDAS team.

    Martin Bosak

    Martin Bosak

Associate | Egis Ireland & UK

Martin is a Chartered Engineer with over 22 years of experience in the design of bridges as well as other highway and civil structures. He has developed a technical expertise and insight on various types of structures, their behaviour and suitability. Martin has worked as a bridge engineer and design coordinator on many major infrastructure projects both in Ireland and abroad.

    More about Martin

He led the design of the award-winning S02C concrete arch bridge (N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Scheme) and the Luas Finglas bridges. His experience covers all project stages, from early concept development and option selection to detailed design and construction supervision.

Session: Design and Analysis for Maigue River Bridge — an overview of the bridge modelling approach, with particular focus on foundation modelling using large-diameter bored piles and the application of p–y data provided by the geotechnical team to define realistic pile spring behaviour.
