    Most bridge inspection programs still run on manual visual checks and periodic NDT testing. Both depend on the inspector's access, timing, and judgment, which means internal deterioration goes unnoticed between visits and inspection data stays disconnected from the bridge's actual dynamic behavior. This session presents an integrated approach that pairs drone based vision inspection with sensor based vibration monitoring, combining what a camera sees on the surface with what sensors measure structurally. Together they form the basis for AI driven digital twins that support predictive maintenance instead of reactive repair.

    Vision based inspection
    -  Drones equipped with RGB, thermal, and LiDAR sensors capture bridge surface data. CNN and YOLO based deep learning models process this data to detect cracks, corrosion, and spalling automatically. 

     

     Vibration based monitoring
    - Accelerometers and wireless sensor networks record how a bridge responds to everyday loads. Modal analysis methods such as OMA, FDD, and SSI extract frequency and damping changes that reveal structural issues invisible to the eye. 

     

    Digital twin integration
    - Vision and vibration data are fused into a continuously updated virtual model of the bridge, enabling damage localization and predictive maintenance planning.
