Overview

Deep excavations present crucial challenges that demand rigorous analysis to ensure the structural integrity of retaining systems. To stabilize excavation slopes, retaining walls must efficiently counteract soil pressures, hydrostatic forces, and dynamic construction loads.
 
In this workshop, you'll explore advanced modeling techniques using GTS NX, focusing on precise geometry creation, realistic load application, and robust boundary condition setups. Attendees will gain insights into meshing, construction stage analysis, and proper results interpretation necessary to optimize design safety and performance in complex excavation projects.

    Understand the significance of numerical modelling in solving complex geotechnical problems pertaining to Foundations, Slopes, Excavation, and Tunnels.

    Understand the effects of deep excavation on to the surrounding soil strata through construction stage analysis.

    Gain hands-on experience in practical methods of modelling deep excavation analysis types using midas GTS NX.

  • Dr. Praveen Huded
    Technical Support Engineer, MIDAS IT
    Praveen Huded completed PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, his studies include bending and buckling behavior of pile foundation in layered liquefiable soil deposit with sandwiched non-liquefiable soil layer. He has also worked on seismic hazard estimation for the state of Odisha. He has worked with World bank and Government Public Works department in developing Road Asset Management System for the state of Himachal Pradesh. Presently, working as Technical Support Engineer at MIDAS Mumbai office.
