    Overview

The Himalayan region presents unique challenges for tunnel engineering due to weak geology, highly weathered rock masses, and complex ground conditions. In this technical webinar, discover how MIDAS GTS NX enables engineers to analyse ground–structure interaction, evaluate tunnel stability, and develop reliable support systems for underground construction in challenging terrain.

The session demonstrates practical 2D and 3D finite element modelling workflows for tunnel analysis, together with engineering approaches for selecting suitable support systems including shotcrete, steel ribs, lattice girders, forepoling, pipe umbrella systems, grouting, and other ground improvement techniques using real engineering practices.
