Prestressed Portal Substructures have emerged as one of the most significant developments in bridge and infrastructure engineering, with increasing adoption in highway, metro, and urban infrastructure projects.
These systems are being implemented in landmark projects such as the Bhopal Metro (TCPL), Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), and other major transportation corridors. Their ability to improve construction speed, reduce site constraints, and enhance structural efficiency has made them a preferred solution for modern infrastructure. This workshop provides engineers with practical exposure to prestressed portal substructures by explaining where they are used, why they are preferred, and how they are designed and implemented. Participants will gain valuable insights into design concepts, engineering considerations, and real-world applications through practical industry examples. |
