How can engineers evaluate complex ground conditions and make more informed geotechnical design decisions? Reliable analysis requires an understanding of soil behaviour, groundwater effects, slope stability and construction sequences. In this one-day workshop, explore how MIDAS GTS NX supports practical geotechnical modelling and finite element analysis for real-world engineering challenges.
The workshop covers slope stability assessment using the Strength Reduction Method (SSR), groundwater effects on slope behaviour, earth retention structures and staged construction analysis. Learn how to interpret displacements, stresses, earth pressures and factors of safety, supported by practical applications, a case study and interactive Q&A.
Understand the ground. Analyse with confidence. Design with insight.

Mr. Vatan Sharma holds a postgraduate degree in Earthquake Engineering from IIT Roorkee. With extensive experience in geotechnical and hydropower engineering, he has contributed to underground and tunnel design projects. He also delivers technical training for government agencies and multinational organizations, covering tunnels, slopes, excavations, dams, hydropower projects, and other geotechnical applications.
