DCCD Engineering Corporation, founded in 1957, is a Filipino-owned organization of consulting engineers offering integrated professional engineering services. It provides administrative, financial, and technical support to licensed engineers who sign projects in their own capacity.

The company employs engineers, draftsmen, and administrative staff, equipped with modern office facilities, CAD tools, and a technical library to assist associates, project managers, and consultants.

DCCD’s expertise covers civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, environmental engineering, and construction management. It is a member of the Consulting Engineers Council of the Philippines (CECOPHIL) and is registered with both the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank (WB)

Role Summary 

The Structural Engineering Intern will assist the engineering team in the analysis, design, and documentation of structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. This role provides hands-on experience in structural calculations, drafting, and field observation under the guidance of licensed engineers.  

          Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications. 
  • Support drafting and modeling using AutoCAD, Revit, or other structural analysis software such as MIDAS 
  • Perform basic load calculations and material take-offs under supervision. 
  • Participate in site inspections, field surveys, and construction monitoring. 
  • Compile and organize project documentation, reports, and technical data. 
  • Conduct research on materials, building codes, and industry standards. 
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate project execution. 

    Qualifications
     
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field,  
  • Familiarity with structural analysis concepts and construction materials. 
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting/modeling software (a plus). 
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Eagerness to learn and ability to work well in a team environment. 
  • Internship is a combination of office and online work.

Role Summary

  • Support preparation of site reports, progress updates, and documentation.
  • Learn about material testing, equipment use, and construction methods.
  • Help with quantity take-offs and material verification.
  • Coordinate with contractors and on-site personnel.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the engineering team.

    Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction, or related Engineering field.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, construction methods, and safety practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office; basic AutoCAD skills a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willing to work on-site under varying field conditions.

Internship Duration: 3 months onwards
 
Role Summary 

The Structural Modeller is responsible for performing structural modelling and analysis of both building and non-building structures using MIDAS Gen and related software. The role requires strong familiarity with the NSCP 2015 (National Structural Code of the Philippines) and a solid understanding of structural behavior, analysis principles, and design standards. The modeller will work closely with engineers to ensure that structural models are accurate, efficient, and compliant with code requirements.
