Dr. Velani specializes in Structural and Earthquake Engineering. He holds a PhD and MS by Research in Civil Engineering from IIIT-Hyderabad. His expertise covers RC tall buildings, structural health monitoring, and city-scale seismic risk.
 
He led IS 1893:2025 integration into MIDAS GEN NX (plus IS 16700:2023 and IS 18168:2023). Expect insights from his hands-on work in code-compliant modeling, seismic mitigation, and retrofitting. Dr. Velani drives industry-academia ties and shares practical tools for engineers like you.

Mr. Mohammad Zulfekhar Ali is a Senior Technical Support Engineer at MIDAS IT India with a master’s in Structural Engineering and 5 years of experience in Finite Element Analysis, design, and ductile detailing of RC and steel structures. His projects include buildings, metro stations, machine foundations, transmission towers, trusses, liquid-retaining structures, retaining walls, and bridges.
 
He is passionate about collaborating with engineers globally to solve complex structural challenges using MIDAS Software. Mr. Ali has conducted numerous webinars and training sessions on topics such as column shortening, pushover, time history, and heat of hydration analysis. He is proficient in international design codes (ACI, Eurocode, IS, BS) and has led CPD workshops across multiple countries.
