  • Prof. Rupen Goswami
    Professor, IIT Madras
    Prof. Rupen Goswami is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Madras, specializing in earthquake-resistant design and nonlinear behavior of structures. His research focuses on the seismic design of buildings and bridges. Prof. Goswami is also the Convener of the Working Group for Steel Buildings, CED 39 / WG 10. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), and has contributed to the development of seismic design codes. In addition to his research, Prof. Goswami teaches a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in structural engineering at IIT Madras.
