📝 Webinar Overview
Join our hands-on workshop on Pile Raft Foundation Analysis using MIDAS GTS NX, designed for geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, foundation consultants, EPC contractors, and infrastructure professionals. This workshop provides practical training on modelling and analysing combined pile–raft foundation systems using advanced finite element methods in MIDAS GTS NX. Participants will learn to simulate realistic soil–structure interaction by defining soil stratification, selecting appropriate constitutive material models, modelling raft and pile elements, generating high-quality finite element meshes, and applying realistic loading and boundary conditions. The session also covers evaluation of load sharing between piles and raft, foundation settlements, pile axial forces and bending moments, groundwater influence, and staged construction effects. Through practical demonstrations, attendees will gain expertise in interpreting differential settlement, contact pressure distribution, pile group behaviour, and raft stresses to design safer, more economical, and optimized foundation systems for high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, bridges, and other complex geotechnical projects.
01
Model
Create realistic pile–raft foundation models by defining soil layers, constitutive material models, raft geometry, pile elements, and finite element meshes.
02
Analyse
Evaluate soil–structure interaction, load sharing, settlements, pile axial forces, bending moments, groundwater effects, and staged construction behaviour.
03
Optimize
Interpret foundation performance results and optimize pile raft designs for safer, economical, and efficient geotechnical solutions.
