Advanced Numerical Modelling of Deep Excavations
        🕓 09:30 AM - 05:00 PM
    📍 MIDAS IT, Navi Mumbai-400703
    📝Overview

The Advanced Numerical Modelling of Deep Excavations workshop by MIDAS IT provides practical training on using MIDAS GTS NX for finite element analysis of deep excavation projects. It focuses on modelling soil–structure interaction, defining soil layers and material models, creating meshes, applying boundary conditions and groundwater effects, and simulating staged construction sequences such as excavation and support installation. Participants learn how to interpret results including ground settlement, wall deflection, bending moments, and support forces, enabling safer and more optimized design of retaining systems, basements, underground structures, and complex geotechnical works.

    📌Agenda
    • 14th March 2026 (Saturday)

🔶 FEM fundamentals & soil material models
      🔶 Geometry, meshing & soil–structure setup
🔶 Loads, boundary conditions & groundwater definition
🔶 Construction stage definition for excavations
