Adam Abinales in the Philippines, Josue Galvis Ramos in Mexico and Ngo Van Minh in Vietnam have each spent years teaching structural engineering. This story is about how that teaching carries from the classroom into practice.
In their own words.

"A right tool for a real-world solution to complex engineering problems."
I am a passionate engineer with a heart of compassion, and an advocate of technological advances in engineering practice.
I used to teach structural engineering subjects to both undergraduate and post-graduate students in a prestigious university offering a civil engineering course. I recommended adoption and acquisition of Midas Gen as one of the tools for structural engineering subjects, especially related to building design. I believe that civil engineering undergraduates should have formal training and exposure to engineering tools and be prepared for real-world engineering solutions and practice.
In addition to the full capability of the software for complex engineering problems encountered in the project, Midas Technical Support is a great add-on to the needs of my engineering staff, as they are very responsive to queries related to the use of the software.

"La concordancia entre el proyecto y la obra final."
"The agreement between the design and the finished works."
"Soy un ingeniero que propone soluciones eficientes, funcionales y armoniosas fundamentadas en los principios de la ingeniería estructural."
"I am an engineer who proposes efficient, functional and harmonious solutions grounded in the principles of structural engineering."
I have been a structural engineering professor for nearly 50 years. I have participated in many structural engineering events, sharing my experiences and knowledge. Many recent engineering graduates have worked in my design office and subsequently decided to pursue postgraduate studies, inspired by the experiences shared with them.
Q. After nearly 50 years in structural engineering, which tool do you still reach for first
"MIDAS es mi herramienta favorita de trabajo. Tiene un gran potencial."
"MIDAS is my favorite working tool. It has great potential."

"The structure world is logical and fair, so it is beautiful."
I have educated more than 100 young engineers about bridge calculation using Midas Civil and Midas FEA. What I ask of them first is to "feel" the structure.
Each of these engineers teaches from the side of practice, bringing into the classroom how real projects are built and how a structure should feel before the numbers come in. What did practice have to teach you that your own education left out?
